Construction Continues
Lorrie and I continue to do all the work ourselves, that includes the framing, electrical, plumbing, metal work and fencing and additional rock work. We will likely be installing the drywall with a little help and then we will tape n float, texture and paint ourselves as well as installing all the doors, trim, cabinets and flooring. Considering we are only working on weekends and the occasional extra day or so we are actually further along then we thought we would be.

4th of July Weekend
We had everyone up for another BBQ Saturday, but unfortunately no one thought to take pictures during the BBQ.
We spent a little time Saturday morning dragging Katie and her cousin Brandon around behind the boat they eventually ending taking a pretty good spill but survived.
Saturday night we all went to a dance at the Twin Sisters Dance Hall in Blanco. www.twinsistersdancehall.com

Surviving the Monsoon
The Saturday before Memorial Day we received 8 to 10 inches of rain and we could have floated on tubes in the front yard.
While what will eventually be a front yard area flooded because it has not yet been filled in with dirt we had no flooding in the building.
The drainage worked as planned and diverted all the water from the front of the property around the two sides of the building and out the back of the property.
